Columns Bump N’ Run w/ KT: Giants Let Emotions Cost Them The Game, Jets Play Worst Game So Far And Kean Wins Third Straight by Kahlil Thomas September 28, 2016 No clever openings this week. Let’s get right down to business. Giant Emotions Lead To Loss To Redskins Full disclosure: I am a lifelong New York Giants fan. As a fan, Sunday’s game was one of the toughest losses I had to deal with. As a journalist, the Giants let their emotions get the best of them as they went down to Washington 29-27 at MetLife Stadium. While Odell Beckham Jr. had a productive game with seven catches for 121 yards, his emotions once again was his downfall and affected the rest of the team. Starting center Weston Richburg was ejected for a dirty hit on Josh Norman and the Giants were a mess late in the game. Eli Manning’s second interception of the game was the capper to a frustrating day for New York as they moved to 2-1. The Redskins won their first game of the year to move to 1-2. Going into the game, the focus was going to be on the Beckham-Norman match-up. While Beckham was playing his typical Beckham game, Norman got under his skin and that’s when the game took a turn. Instead of ignoring him and worrying about winning the game, Beckham dragged the whole team down and ultimately cost the team a win. Beckham has to learn to control his emotions and just play. He’s one of the best receivers in the league but this continues to be a problem for him and it needs to stop. Fitzpatrick’s Six Interceptions Gives Chiefs Easy Win We all knew that Ryan Fitzpatrick would have games like this when he was re-signed; it was just a matter of when. The when was Sunday as the Jets played an uninspired game against the Kansas City Chiefs en route to a 24-3 loss. It seemed like no one was ready to play this game and while the Chiefs offense is average at best, the Jets made their offense look like the early 2000’s St. Louis Rams offense. The issue for the Jets is unknown. One week everything is clicking and the next week, it’s an unmitigated disaster. What made the Jets successful last year was their consistency throughout the 2015 season and somewhere along the line, the Jets lost that somewhere. Going into their match-up against the Seattle Seahawks, here’s hoping the Jets figuring out their issues or 1-3 will be a reality. Moving The Chains Are the New Orleans Saints this bad at 0-3? You start to feel bad for Sean Payton and Drew Brees because their offense is electric, their defense just has nothing to offer. The weekly BNR Cleveland Browns update has the Browns 0-3 but with Terrelle Pryor becoming Kordell Stewart circa 1996. No worries however, they still stink. The Viking loss Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson and Sam Bradford is now their quarterback…and they are now 3-0 after thrashing Carolina. Even the best NFL analysts have no explanation about this. Major shout out to Kean University after they defeated William Paterson 24-13 to move to 3-1 and 2-1 in the NJAC. Brian Matthews had 151 yards on the ground and junior QB Charles App threw for a touchdown and ran one in as Kean won their third straight game. Kean’s next game is at home against Frostburg State University on Saturday at 1 p.m. Post Views: 1,093 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Kahlil Thomas Kahlil is the College Sports Editor for DoubleGSports.com as well as a columnist, hosting the Bump 'N Run column once per week.
