PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 24, 2017) – Rutgers football will host “Spring Fever,” an event highlighted by the annual Scarlet-White game, presented by PNC Bank, on Saturday, April 22 at High Point Solutions Stadium. Grammy-nominated country music artists Big & Rich will perform at 3:30 p.m. prior to the spring game, which is scheduled for 5 p.m.

“The Scarlet-White game is always an exciting time for the football program and our fans as the kickoff to a new season,” said Director of Athletics Pat Hobbs. “Big & Rich are well known to fans of both country music and college football and we are thrilled to have them perform at High Point Solutions Stadium. We appreciate the loyal support of our students, alumni and fans and look forward to a great turnout to support our program.”

Admission to the stadium is free, however, renewed season ticket holders will have an exclusive opportunity to select their seats for the concert and game beginning March 27 through April 9. Season ticket holders can sign into their accounts to access pre-sale tickets by clicking the following link. Students can claim their tickets through the same process used to secure regular season football tickets.

Tickets will be available to the general public on April 10 via www.scarletknights.com/tickets. Gates to the concert and game open at 2 p.m. and there will be no re-entry to the stadium.

Season ticket holders with membership in the Audi Rutgers Club, as well as R FUND supporters at the All-Conference level for fiscal year 2016 ($5,000+) will receive a separate communication from the athletic development office, with instructions on registering for access to both the concert and Audi Club on this day.

Renewed season ticket holders will be placed into a drawing for the chance to win a meet and greet with Big & Rich at 2:30 p.m. before the concert. Five students will be selected at random for a meet and greet with the band. Season ticket holders will also receive a parking pass in the mail when they claim their tickets.

The spring game will broadcast live on BTN for the third-straight year.

RU enters its second spring practice under head coach Chris Ash at the end of March. The 15 practice dates will culminate in the team’s intrasquad scrimmage. The Scarlet Knights return seven starters on both offense and defense.

The Scarlet Knights will play their first three games of the season at High Point Solutions Stadium. RU begins the 2017 campaign on Sept. 1 against Washington, followed by home games against Eastern Michigan (Sept. 9) and Morgan State (Sept. 16). In addition, RU will host Ohio State (Sept. 30), Purdue (Oct. 21) and Michigan State (Nov. 25).

On Nov. 4, Rutgers and the New York Yankees will partner to host the first-ever football and wrestling doubleheader at iconic Yankee Stadium as the Scarlet Knights face Maryland in the “Big Ten Battle in the Bronx.” The day will feature a morning wrestling match vs. the Terps followed by an afternoon football game.

The “Big Ten Battle in the Bronx” event is part of the season ticket package. Football season ticket holders will be able to purchase seats of their choice at Yankee Stadium online or over the phone with a Rutgers Account Executive. Seats range from $40-$65 and each ticket grants admission to both the wrestling match and football game.
