Devils Announce Promotional Schedule Including “One Jersey” Campaign

The New Jersey Devils have announced their promo nights for the 2016-17 regular season this week. With the home opener next week comes Fan Fest. The Devils Red Carpet that will have players, coaches, local celebrities and New Jersey Olympians (presumably from the 2016 Summer Olympic Games held in Rio).

Also, on opening night the Devils will unofficially unveil their “One Jersey” campaign. One Jersey is designed to be a platform for the Devils to represent its’ community.  When asked about One Jersey, Hugh Weber, the President of the Devils and the Prudential said:

“The purpose for the organization has always been to win hockey games, but our unique purpose that was never clearly articulated or a vision that was never shared succinctly is this: We’re here to represent what we all hold near and dear, New Jersey. It’s New Jersey collectively, and this collection of communities that make up what it means to be from New Jersey.” –Hugh Weber

Further to that point Daniel Cherry III, the Devils Chief Marketing Officer, said that this campaign is not just a clever advertising strategy but instead a way to serve its community and extend that past Newark City limits and into the whole state of New Jersey.

In a time when unity is needed, I think we can agree this an amazing thing being led by the Devils and will most likely see it rolled out by other major sports teams, not just the NHL.
