Knights In The NFL – Week 11

New England Patriots rookie cornerback Devin McCourty is our Knight of the Week for the second straight week. In Week 11, McCourty and the Patriots had a big game against the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning.

New  England Patriots rookie cornerback Devin McCourty is our Knight of the Week for the second straight week. In Week 11, McCourty and the Patriots had a big game against the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning. The Patriots intercepted Manning three times, including one by McCourty. The rookie also made six tackles and deflected two passes in New England’s 31-28 win.

In the losing effort, Indianapolis defensive lineman Eric Foster played but did not record any stats. Captain and linebacker, Gary Brackett missed the contest due to an injured toe. He was listed as questionable going into the game.

McCourty’s brother, Jason, also had a nice game this week but his Tennessee Titans fell to the Washington Redskins 19-16. Jason McCourty recorded five tackles and a pass deflection in the loss. Wide receiver Kenny Britt remains out for Tennessee with a hamstring injury.

Jamaal Westerman saw some game action for the New York Jets in their 30-27 win over the Houston Texans. Westerman did not record any stats.

Two former Rutgers offensive lineman were on opposite sidelines this week. Rookie Anthony Davis once again started at right tackle for the San Francisco 49ers while Jeremy Zuttah saw action on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers line. Tampa Bay won the game 21-0.

New York Giants center, Shaun O’Hara did not play in Sunday nights loss to the Philadelphia Eagles due to a nagging foot injury. Ryan Neill did not play on Monday night for the San Diego Chargers and remains on injured reserve. San Diego defeated the Denver Broncos by a score of 35-14.

Denver defensive back Nate Jones recorded one tackle in the loss.

Ray Rice and the Baltimore Ravens got off to a slow start but eventually took control in their 37-13 win over the Carolina Panthers. Rice ran the ball 19 times for 65 yards and a touchdown. He also caught six passes for 66 yards in the win.

Defensive lineman, Gary Gibson recorded two tackles for the Rams but St. Louis fell to the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 34-17. Gibson has started every game for St. Louis this season.

Clark Harris handled the long snapping duties for the Cincinnati Bengals in their 49-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. In the loss, running back Brian Leonard caught three passes for 23 yards.

The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off yet another close win, defeating the Cleveland Browns 24-20. Kevin Haslam saw some time on the Jaguars offensive line while Tiquan Underwood also contributed on offense. Underwood caught one pass for seven yards.

On the defensive side for the Jaguars, Courtney Greene started his fifth straight game and recorded four tackles to help Jacksonville improve to 6-4 on the year.

Don’t forget this week is Thanksgiving. Tune in at 12:30 and watch Devin McCourty (this weeks Knight of the Week) play against the Detroit Lions. Then at 8:20, watch Clark Harris and Brian Leonard of the Cincinnati Bengals go up against Jamaal Westerman and the New York Jets.
