Long Island’s Brian Kelleher to face Domingo Pilarte at UFC 230

Will Kelleher unleash the “Boom”at UFC 230?

Under the bright lights of New York City, one local fighter will get a chance to fight in front of friends and family. Brian Kelleher will take the LIRR to Penn Station and face off against Domingo Pilarte in a bantamweight bout at UFC 230. Newsday was the first to report the news.

Kelleher (19-9), born in Oceanside, NY, is looking to get back on track following a round three KO loss to John Lineker at UFC 224. Before then, “Boom” Kelleher was on a two-fight win streak. The former Ring of Combat Bantamweight Champion and Bellator fighter is 3-2 since joining the UFC back in 2017.

Making his UFC debut, Pilarte (8-1) will look to make an immediate impact inside the octagon. He last appeared at Dana White’s Contender Series back in July, beating Vince Morales via second round rear-naked choke. Pilarte is on a five-fight win streak.

UFC 230 takes place on November 3 inside Madison Square Garden. No main event has been announced yet.
