MMA Pro League to be featured on FloSports in multi-event streaming deal

Another innovative MMA tournament is looking to make waves in the MMAPL

As we have seen with the success of the PFL, MMA tournaments are all the rage. How it is handled can go a long way in determining its success. For the MMA Pro League, everything is about patience. Being rewarded for said patience is what makes it all worth it.

It was announced in a press release that the FloSports entity (FloCombat.com) will be the exclusive home of the MMA Pro League. Additionally, the inaugural event for the MMAPL has been moved from July 20 to Saturday, September 15. The event will still be taking place at the New Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

MMAPL President Mark Taffet had the following to say about the blockbuster deal:

“We’re thrilled that a worldwide audience will have the opportunity to experience our exciting inaugural event on FloCombat.com. To accommodate this new deal, the first installment of ‘MMA Pro League At The Hard Rock’ will take place Saturday, Sept. 15, to provide optimal time to put the broadcast team, production plan and telecast elements in place and ensure the best possible experience for our audience. We can’t wait for the first bell to ring.”

FloSports has become one of the true innovators in combat sports viewing over the past few years. They recently added Ring of Combat and Brave CF into the fold. They also dabbled in pro wrestling. Now, one of the top MMA events this year will take place on the platform.

What is the MMAPL format? Teams from Pennsylvania and New Jersey will do battle with one another. One team will be headed by MMA fighter Dan Miller (NJ) while the other one will be coached by Daniel Gracie (PA). After a regular season contest, playoffs will be expected to take over. Down the line, there are plans to set up teams from around the United States.

Be on the lookout for more information, including who will be competing on the card in September.

Tickets will go on sale for the event on August 1 at Ticketmaster.com.
