Football NFL Divisional Playoff Preview: New England Patriots vs Tennessee Titans by Stephen Ur January 12, 2018 The New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans will meet in the first AFC Divisional playoff game on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. Tennessee is coming off of a comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild card round. Down 21-3, the Titans scored 19 consecutive points to win in Kansas City. Now, they will face the top-seeded Patriots on their home turf. New England has won 11 divisional round games under Tom Brady, but the Titans do bring a challenge to Foxboro. Running back Derrick Henry has done well during his time in Tennessee. This season, even as the second running back behind Demarco Murray, has rushed for 744 yards and five touchdowns. He will be going up against the Patriots 29th ranked defense, which is an advantage for him. However, that is the only advantage the Titans have over New England. The Patriots may not have the best defense, but it’s offense that wins games. New England’s defense needs to shut down Henry and the offense will take care of the rest.
