The purpose of the event was to bring awareness to the enCourage Kids Foundation while pairing an auction with an all-night tasting event. Chefs and winemakers from The Tao Group had an array of foods, desserts and wine that filled guests’ bellies and helped raise money for a great cause. The enCourage Kids Foundation helps humanize healthcare for children and their families by resourcing impact-driven pediatric programs and supporting the Child Life Community. Serving more than one million annually, their programs offer relief from the constant burden of treatment, hospital stays, and doctor appointments, while also helping pediatric facilities to meet the unique needs of their patients. EKF envisions a world where every child—regardless of the difficulty of his or her medical journey—experiences joy, hope, resilience, and healing. www.encourage-kids.org Special guests included former Knicks guard John Starks, Jets offensive tackle Brent QVale, former Jets fullback Tony Richardson, former Giants offensive tackle Luke Petitgout, actor Frankie Smith and rapper DeeMo. Many thanks to CEO of enCourage Kids Foundation Michele Hall-Duncan, Head Chef/Partner of TAO Ralph Scamardella and President of Indra Public Relations MJ Pedone for putting this event together. Without them and the help of their staffs, this event would not be possible.
