Robin Lehner named NHL’s Second Star for January; Speaks up on #BellLetsTalk movement

As if Robin Lehner hadn’t gotten enough accolades over the past two months, it was all capped off with him being named the second star for the month of January.  Lehner deserved to be an All-Star based on his league leading save percentage and GAA, but nonetheless this is a huge honor to be named the second star in the entire NHL.

Lehner’s January was excellent, posting a 6-1-1 record with a .935 SV %, 1.73 GAA and one shutout.  His contributions are partially the reason why the Islanders are first place in the Metropolitan Division.  His overall numbers are impressive as well.  Throughout the season he is 15-7-4 with a .931 SV %, 2.02 GAA and three shutouts.  He leads the league in save percentage and GAA.

In addition to being named a star for the month of January, Lehner also took to social media to support #BellLetsTalk.  For those not familiar, #BellLetsTalk is a campaign by Canada’s largest phone company, Bell, to discuss mental health and raise money for mental health awareness.  Lehner shares his thoughts below;
