MMA UFC 196: Conor McGregor or Nate Diaz’s path to glory by Daniel Yanofsky March 4, 2016 Conor McGregor is known as “The Notorious” one. While others see him as an arrogant, loud-mouthed fighter, he sees himself as the best in the world. He wants all men to bow to his greatness, even Jesus. On his quest to become the best UFC has to offer, the UFC Featherweight Champion has decided to jump weight classes. In a tough lightweight division, one man has stepped in his way. This Saturday at UFC 196 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Conor McGregor faces off against Nate Diaz. The fight for this Saturday was supposed to be Rafael Dos Anjos against McGregor, but an injury sidelined him. After many predicted he would, Diaz got his shot. It appears that Nate Diaz has a personal vendetta to take out Conor McGregor. According to McGregor, Nate Diaz has entered the king’s cave, and he won’t come back out alive. The hype this week for the fight has gotten to an interesting start. During a press conference between the two, McGregor and Diaz got a little too close for comfort. httpss://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=78&v=Gstcj_bn-gc Things intensified later on in the day. In an joint interview on FOX Sports 1’s “FSLive: Jay and Dan”, McGregor and Diaz conducted a profanity-laced discussion with one another. Like most watching, the hosts of the show were laughing at what was happening. McGregor discussed the possibility that Diaz’s hand was hurt after he swiped it away, while Diaz said all of McGregor’s wins (and losses) were against nobodies. Things got heated later in the interview, when McGregor lashed out against Diaz for discussing the Irishman’s financial history. McGregor’s powerful last few words to Diaz were: “I’m going to gut ya.” httpss://twitter.com/FOXSportsLive/status/705643729042866176 When it is all said and done, this won’t be a fight. Instead, this is going to be a bloodbath. These two will literally look to beat the other Rocky IV style; one being Apollo Creed and the other Ivan Drago. Fans knew that with McGregor this fight would be explosive, but this matchup will be too hot to handle. What can we expect tomorrow at UFC 196? I’m sure a lot of violence, and very few words between these two talkative fighters. A war is coming, are you ready? httpss://twitter.com/ufc/status/705824028670316544 Post Views: 1,432 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
