Other Sports Thunder Loses Bid for Fifth Straight Win! by Staff Post May 9, 2011 The Thunder has received good pitching and timely hitting during the four game winning streak, but the pitching gave up early in the game against the Akron Aeros and the hitting fell short in the 5-4 loss on Mothers Day in Akron. The Aeros avoided a sweep at home with the victory. The Thunder now (15-15) open a big series against the Reading Phillies tonite at 7:05. As the weather gets warmer it seems the Thunder gets warmer. The team is getting better pitching and hitting as they attempt to move up the standings. The Thunder has won 5 of the last 8 to reach the .500 mark on the season, they must improve their road record which stands at 5-11. They are an outstanding 10-4 at home at Waterfront Park. Thunder Claps; The Trenton Thunder activated LHP Naoya Okamota from The DL on Sunday May 8th. The First two games of the upcoming Series against the Reading Phillies will feature The Killer B’s DellinBetances on Monday , May 9th at 7:05 pm at Waterfront Park and Manny Banuelos on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:05 pm.
