College Times For Norfolk State and Washington State Games Announced by Staff Post June 13, 2015 Rutgers football will open their 2015 campaign bright and early against Norfolk State on Saturday, September 5 at noon announced Friday. Rutgers shutout the Spartans 38-0 back in 2013. The following week, the Scarlet Knights will face Washington State for a 3:30 p.m. start time as the Cougars make the return trip of a home-and-home. Rutgers outlasted Mike Leach and his squad 41-38 in Seattle in their opener a year ago. Both games are at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway. The home opener against FCS foe Norfolk State will air on ESPNews while the Washington State game will either broadcast on ESPNU or ESPN2. Five of the seven home games for Rutgers have kickoff times announced. Head coach Kyle Flood and company will also face Kansas for homecoming on Sept. 26 at noon, Michigan State on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m., and the defending champions Ohio State on Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. as well at home. In addition, road game start times at Penn State (Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.), Indiana (Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m.), and Army (Nov. 21 at 12 p.m.) were previously released.
