Other Sports Thunder Starts Big Series Tonight! by Staff Post May 24, 2011 The Trenton Thunder start a huge three game series tonite in Reading against the Phillies. The two teams are tied in the Eastern Division standings at (24-18) each 2 ½ games behind division leader New Hampshire Fisher Cats and 1 GB behind second place New Britain. Tonite the Thunder will put lefty Shaeffer Hall (2-3 4.02) on the hill against Austin Hyatt ( 5-2 4.19 ) for the Reading Phillies. The Trenton Thunder have stolen 52 bases this season leading the Eastern League in thefts. Ray Kruml and Austin Krum have 30 stolen bases between them. The Thunder have won 17 out 23 games at Waterfront Park this season while dropping 12 of 18 road games this season. The Thunder do not get any home cooking until May 31, when they face the Altoona Curve at Waterfront Park.
