College Marist Crushes Davidson For Fourth Straight Win by Staff Post October 25, 2016 The Marist Red Foxes defeated their PFL rival Davidson this past Saturday by a score of 31-10 for their fourth straight win and PFL win. This game was a part of the Red Foxes homecoming and reunion weekend too. After losing their first three games to start the season Marist rallies off four straight wins to improve their overall record to 4-3. Marist has won their last four games and find themselves in second place in the PFL after they were predicted to finish 6th in the summer PFL preseason poll. The Red Foxes start their conference play schedule with a perfect 4-0 record which marks the programs best record inside of the PFL. Marist is only two games out of first place in the PFL and they will face the conference leader San Diego next week at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes rolled to victory against Davidson by having another great offensive and defensive outing . Last weeks PFL Player of The Week, quarterback Mike White (Jr.) helped Marist to victory with 262 passing yards and two touchdowns. White has thrown for over 200 yards in 16 straight games and has 13 touchdowns on the year. White continues to be on a tear as he continues his success in this game. Juston Christian helped the Red Foxes in this big win with 136 yard receiving and a score. Red-shirt sophomore standout Wes Beans added another interception early on in this game too. Marist is on a roll right now during their 4-game winning streak and will finish against PFL conference teams. Marist is one of two teams that are still currently undefeated in PFL play with San Diego being the other. Marist adds another victory in the month of October and show that the Red Foxes love the month October. Marist is 11-3 in the month of October and they lead the series between Davidson with a commanding 7-1 record. Marist has found success in the PFL with a 31-28 all-time record. Coach Parady on how well his team is playing during their four game winning streak: “ We are 4-0 in the league for the first time in school history, we feel good about that, we are going to enjoy this one you know its hard to win, you know we are going to enjoy this thing and I think the kids have gained confidence as we have gone through the Pioneer schedule each week, but we know we respect our opponents but the big thing is you need to enjoy wins when you get them, and we are going to enjoy this one today before we move on and start again on Monday for San Diego.” Marist improves to 4-3 overall, 4-0 in PFL and Davidson falls to 2-6 overall, 0-5 in PFL. Up next for Marist will be San Diego at Tenney Stadium on Saturday. Kick off is set for 1pm and it is Jason Myers bobblehead day who is a Marist alumni and kicker for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
