Double G Sports fans! Something BIG is happening in our city this week, and as sports fans, we may pay less attention to NY Fashion Week? This is very true for me, so it potentially is also true for you! I usually know what week during spring and fall represents Fashion Week, but that’s about it. As a sports person, when I think of fashion I think of NHLer P.K. Subban of the Nashville Predators and his flashy suits at the NHL Awards and I think of NFLer Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers and his suits and hats walking into a game and during a press conference. But friends, there is so much more to fashion than what we see in sports. Who knew?

Janine Just, head of PR agency Janine Just, Inc, has been running TechStyle NYC for the past four years, and this annual NYFW event, which took place in SoHo on September 12, has been getting bigger and bigger.

“We work with a lot of emerging brands in fashion and tech. With technology, it’s really hard to pitch media about the tech, why it’s a higher price point sometimes, or about the technology behind it. So, for us, experiential is really where our wheelhouse is. And with that, all these emerging brands wanted to be a part of something bigger.”

She created TechStyle NYC to “show how innovation and technology are really taking over the fashion and lifestyle landscape – the good, the bad, the scary.”

I’m introducing to you, DGS Fans, my experience at TechStyle NYC through pictures of my journey at the event!
