My family has been supporting them for a few years now and it really is a great cause. One of their biggest fund raisers this year will be a Rubber Duck Race. The race will be one of the highlights of the City of New Brunswick’s Raritan River Festival, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. All proceeds from the day will benefit The Beez Foundation and the New Brunswick Teen Center. The festival will take place on Sunday, September 26th at Boyd Park in New Brunswick, New Jersey from noon until 6pm. The Duck Race will likely take place somewhere around 5:00pm. Admission to the park is free. Radio station WMGQ/WCTC will be on hand and the day will include a classic car show, activities for kids, lots of food and vendors, as well as the Duck Race. Double G Sports is asking our readers to Adopt-A-Duck and help support research for brain cancer in kids. Each duck costs just $5. That’s it, just $5! In all, 5,000 ducks will dropped into the Delaware/Raritan Canal and the first duck to cross the finish line will win the grand prize. Along with the Grand Prize, there will also be a 1st and 2nd Prize Winner. Prizes: Grand Prize: “You Choose The Cruise” to the Caribbean, value up to $1,250. 1st Prize: Somerset Patriots Luxury Box 2nd Prize: iPad Double G Sports has set up and team to help raise money. To purchase ducks, please go to www.beezfoundation.org and find the Adopt-A-Duck logo on the right side of the page. When you sign up, make sure to join the Double G Sports team. I will be sent an email with your request to join the team. Once I accept it, you will then be able to purchase your ducks. Let’s be the team that raises the most money!! Remember, it’s only $5 per duck and it could help save a young childs life. *You do not have to be local to purchase a duck* For more information on this great cause, visit The Beez Foundation.
