Chris Weidman to face Gegard Mousasi at UFC 210 in Buffalo

I guess Weidman finally answered the phone.

After months of Gegard Mousasi campaigning all over social media for a fight, his wish has been granted. Former UFC Middleweight champion Chris Weidman is set to face Mousasi at UFC 210 on April 8th in Buffalo, NY.

This is the first official fight announced for the card since the UFC made their announcement that they were returning to Buffalo for the first time since UFC 7 over 20 years ago.

Weidman (13-2) is coming off a brutal knockout loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 205 in NYC in November. This will be his second time fighting on a card in his home state.

Mousasi (41-6-2) is on a four fight win streak with his most recent victory being over Uriah Hall in November at UFC Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Hall 2 in Belfast, Ireland.

Tickets for the Buffalo pay-per-view go on sale to the public February 17th through Ticketmaster.com.
