Circa Las Vegas Opens World’s Largest Sportsbook

Circa Las Vegas, and CEO Derek Stevens, has opened what it calls the largest sportsbook in the world.

While the majority of sporting events have been closed to spectators since reopening during the world’s current COVID-19 pandemic, sports wagering has taken off. Fans have turned to sports betting as a way to once again feel in tune with games and events.

Since making sports betting legal in New Jersey on June 11, 2018, the state has set records. A full slate of NFL, MLBNBA and NHL games all September led to a record-setting month for many sportsbooks. Bettors put up $748.6 million with legal New Jersey sportsbooks in September, setting a new monthly record for both the state and the US sports betting market as a whole, topping August’s record by 12.1%.

Does a comeback start with Circa Las Vegas?

Las Vegas, long be thought of as the gaming epicenter, announced a new venue they hope will reestablish Las Vegas as a sports betting destination.

Circa Las Vegas, and CEO Derek Stevens, has opened what it calls the largest sportsbook in the world. The $1 billion resort is highlighted by its three-story, 1,000 seat auditorium and a 78-million-pixel video wall that requires 10 people to operate. Sports betting media company VSiN will also operate a broadcast studio in the building.

The top of the resort has a rooftop with a 143-foot TV and six pools that will have poolside mobile wagering kiosks. Circa also boasts “Nevada’s longest indoor bar” at 165-feet with 40 double-stacked TVs.

The pandemic has heavily impacted travel and tourism, which has hurt Las Vegas, but as things begin to open up more and more, and the country hopefully avoids another massive shutdown, this brand new venue is sure to attract many a sports fans.
