Auto Racing Dale Jr., Darrell Wallace, Jr and Joey Logano read your tweets! by Judythe Ann Michelle April 21, 2015 This evening I had the pleasure of covering a celebrity softball game played at ARM & HAMMER Park in Trenton, New Jersey for Double G Sports. The matchup was between @JoeyLogano /’Team Dover’ and @DaleJr / ‘Team Pocono’ ~ the assigned hashtag on Twitter #DoverPocono. To sum the game up, in three words of less, ‘Team Dover Won’ …. but to sum the game up in three words or less would not do the night justice. For tonight’s event had very little to do with which team won, let alone the score. Tonight’s game was all about the fans, and the drivers taking time out to share their appreciation. If you were there then you already know, and if you were not there maybe one day you might decide to take in a game or a race, for the love of the chase. During the next few days, I will decipher my notes from the media event after the game, and share more about the awesome evening. For now I wanted to share some of the photos and also let you know that in case you ever wondered, @DaleJr @JoeyLogano and @BubbaWallace read your tweets! In fact, according to @JoeyLogano not only does he love reading social media tweets from his fans, he also shared he likes ‘even the bad ones.’ Joey Logano ~ photo by Craig Amhaus, Philadelphia Union All three of men who met with the media after tonight’s game [ Dale Jr., Joey Logano and Darrell Wallace, Jr. ] took questions from the press, and what seemed apparent, none of them were there because they might get fined if they did not show up. They were so incredibly nice, and showed such respect …. it was really nice to see athletes/celebrities show such appreciation for their fans both on and off the field.
