College Drexel Defeats CAA Foe Towson Tigers for its Sixth Straight Win by Staff Post February 11, 2015 (Drexel Athletics) Drexel gains its sixth straight victory with a 53-49 win over Towson. The Dragons had a dominant first half and led by 14 going into the half. The Tigers battled back with a strong start to the second half, but it was not enough. Drexel led for all but the first three minutes of the game. Junior Damion Lee finished with 23 points coming in at 6-for-11 from the floor and 11-for-11 from the line. It is the fourth time this season he was perfect from the free throw line in 10 or more attempts. Rodney Williams scored 10 points and had a season-high six blocks, five of which came in the first half. For the second consecutive game, the Drexel defense was able to keep their opponent to under 50 points. Drexel held Towson to just 31% shooting in the game. The Tigers had 23 offensive rebounds, but the Dragons kept them to just 14 second chance points. Four McGlynn was the only Tiger to score double digits, leading his team with 14. Philadelphia native, John Davis grabbed a game high 12 rebounds along with 6 points. The Dragons return home on Sunday to take on the Hofstra Pride at 5p.m. ET and will be available on the Comcast Network. The Pride was the last team to defeat Drexel.
