Giants Stars to Join Hip New Jersey Telethon

Hip New Jersey Stays Home will air exclusively on News 12+ and stream live on Hip New Jersey’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

New Jersey has been one of the states hit hardest by the COVID-19 coronavirus. On Sunday, May 31 at 8PM, Hip New Jersey, the Garden State’s premier lifestyle television series, and News 12+ are joining together to air a one-hour telethon to raise awareness and funds for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund (NJPRF).

The NJPRF was created to raise funds that go to organizations that provide essential services to those in need and to assist those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. One hundred percent of donations raised from Hip New Jersey Stays Home will go directly to the NJPRF and help in the battle against the pandemic’s impact on New Jersey.

New York Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones, and wide receiver, Golden Tate, are among the many high profile New Jersey individuals participating in the telethon.

“We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and commitment of the Hip New Jersey team,” said New Jersey first lady and NJPRF founder Tammy Murphy. “The money raised from this benefit show will help address the urgent needs of our community, both now and in the weeks and months ahead as we continue fighting this pandemic.”

Other telethon appearances include Bobbi Brown, David Burke, Vic DiBitetto, Melissa Gorga, Vincent Curatola, and George Oliphant. Musical performances include Constantine Maroulis and Kimberley Locke of American Idol, David Bryan of Bon Jovi, Garden State Radio, The Happy Fits, Williams Honor, The Benjamins, The Nerds, Jim Babjak of The Smithereens, Robin DiLauri, Marco Benevento, Samantha Blossey, and Eliza Neals.

New Jersey-based businesses, medical care workers, municipalities, students, and non-profit organizations will recount their personal pandemic stories and how they navigated through adversity.

“Hip New Jersey Stays Home will entertain and inspire viewers as the Garden State looks to reopen and rebuild,” said Hip New Jersey co-creators, Maria Falzo and Lisa Marie Latino. “We are excited to spotlight the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund on our News 12+ platform.”

Sunday’s event will air exclusively on News 12+, which is available around New Jersey on Optimum 61 and Verizon Fios 530.

The show will also stream live on Hip New Jersey’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
