Interview with Alison Gorrell: Professional Basketball Player Turns To Mental Coaching (Video)

Alison Gorrell is a professional basketball player playing overseas, most recently in Germany. Being someone that has endured many ups and downs throughout her playing career, Gorrell understands the importance of mental health in sports.

Gorrell grew up in Colorado where sports played a major role in her childhood. After staring in both tennis and basketball in high school, the hardwood became where her career would take off. She went on to play Division 1 basketball at the University of Wyoming. before transferring to Florida Atlantic University (FAU).

After graduating FAU, Gorrell signed a professional contract to play in England while pursuing her Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology. The psychology of athletes became a huge passion and she opened AG Performance.

Through AG Performance, Alison Gorrell has worked with teams and individual athletes around the world to help them achieve their full potential. Alison virtually sat down with Double G Sports host, Jenna Lemoncelli, to discuss in more detail how important the mental side of sports is to the success of an athlete.
