Hockey Islanders will get Reinforcements in Time for Game with Predators It’s no secret that the Islanders needed depth up front at the trade deadline. by Jayson Love March 5, 2015 Via NHL.com It’s no secret that the Islanders needed depth up front at the trade deadline. It is for that reason Garth Snow acquired Tyler Kennedy. What Snow didn’t count on was that Kennedy would come up with an upper body injury that held him out of the lineup at Dallas. He also didn’t count on a suspension for Matt Martin for kneeing Trevor Daley of the Stars. However, there is good news for the Islanders as they are set to welcome back a pair of forwards who will bring some physicality to the lineup against Nashville tonight – Casey Cizikas and the underrated Eric Boulton. This will lighten the load for a pair of Islanders who have been over-exposed lately. The first is Kael Mouillierat who has performed admirably after an emergency call-up from Bridgeport and Colin MacDonald who provides determination and energy but little else for New York. Mouillierat will likely be the odd man out tonight because MacDonald is a veteran. Nashville enters the game with 41 wins and sits atop the Central division. The Predators will also be looking to avenge the loss on the Island last month.
