Keeping Up… With The Bradshaws? “The Bradshaw Bunch” Makes Its Debut on E!

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw is taking a chance on reality TV with The Bradshaw Bunch.

The new series, which premiered Thursday on E!, features the NFL legend star, his wife Tammy Bradshaw, daughters Erin and Rachel and stepdaughter Lacey as they navigate life’s highs and lows as a blended family. The back-to-back episodes of Thursday’s debut certainly featured a number of events, including Terry finding out about his youngest daughter’s Erin’s breast enhancement procedure and a fun stint at a Monster Jam truck show.

Terry’s observant and hilarious 7-year-old granddaughter Zurie also makes an appearance on the show. In one confessional scene, the sports analyst says, “I got three girls, which means I have three problems. I gotta get Lacey, your mom, to move to Texas so all can be together. I gotta help Rachel with her business because she’s starting over. And my problem with Erin is, she had a little procedure and she hasn’t told me about it, quite honestly. It’s driving me crazy!”

Zurie astutely replies, “Man, you got a lot of problems, Poppy.”

The series premiere also introduced Rachel Bradshaw talking about her short marriage to former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas, who tragically died in a car crash in 2014. “He passed away from a car accident about three months into marriage. It’s like, you’ve got just the world at your fingertips and this great wedding and this wonderful marriage and then you’re checking the ‘widow’ box at like 27,” she says.

As for Lacey, she reveals what it was like becoming a Bradshaw as a child. “Coming into the Bradshaw family was certainly an experience. Me and Erin were the same age. It’s just like putting two people together and saying, ‘Hi, you have to be friends.’ That’s not necessarily going to happen overnight. I think there’s always been some, of course, sibling rivalry.”

Before filming scenes for The Bradshaw Bunch, Terry Bradshaw told the New York Post that the one bit of advice he had for his family in preparation was to “Just be yourself.”

“I’ve been doing television and sports and I’ve been in front of the media ever since I was 16 years old and so this was nothing new, and I learned a good lesson early in my 20s, that if you’re going to be judged and criticized or judged and applauded, make sure you’re being yourself,” he added.

“Whatever you’re going to see on this show, the girls will all tell you, that’s just how I am.”

The Bradshaw Bunch airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on E!
