Basketball Knicks vs. Nets: David Fizdale looking to trust rookies by Stefano Bentivogli October 4, 2018 The New York Knicks preseason started well. In the first game the 124-121 victory came against the Washington Wizards. There’s an even more important game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. There is a lot of curiosity to see what potential there is after the good performance of New York’s rookies in the first game. Kevin Knox had 13 points and 10 rebounds, six points and seven rebounds of Mitchell Robinson and Allonzo Trier both played well in extended time. Against Brooklyn Nets coach David Fizdale could change something in the lineup. Mario Hezonja always looks for space, so having Enes Kanter in there with him would help open up the outside scoring. Playmaker Trey Burke played well but Frank Ntilikina and Emmanuel Mudiay are always ready to make contributions off the bench. In short, there are many options for Fizdale against the Nets who are playing in their first preseason game & have strengthened with the arrivals of Kenneth Faried, Dzanan Musa, Ed Davis and Shabazz Napier. These players will be relied upon to help guide the youth that the Nets have.
