Princeton (4-1, 1-1) went down early off of a 99-yard kickoff return by the Bears junior wide receiver Alex Jette. It was a tough day for the Tigers as they had poor third-down execution (3 of 10) and committed a season-high 11 penalties for 94 yards. Brown led for the entire game with their biggest lead at 21-7 early into the second quarter. Princeton was able to rally to tie the game twice, but never took the lead. Sophomore John Lovett once again led the Princeton offense after last week’s phenomenal performance with four touchdowns over Colgate. Lovett rushed for two touchdowns including a career-long 42-yard touchdown and a total of 186 rushing yards. Junior quarterback Chad Kanoff, threw for 321 yards, two interceptions, and one touchdown. Princeton tied the game at 31 with ten minutes left in the game, but it was not enough. With 57 seconds left in regulation, junior Johnny Pena ran 7 yards into the end zone to help the Browns secure the victory. With the loss, Princeton falls to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League. Princeton returns to the New England region to face undefeated and reigning Ivy League champion, Harvard on Saturday at noon.
