Soccer Sky Blue FC Announces Protected/Unprotected Lists Ahead of Expansion Draft by Media Release October 26, 2015 Morristown, N.J. (Monday, Oct. 26, 2015) – Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today its protected/unprotected player lists ahead of an upcoming Expansion Draft for the Orlando Pride, which will be held at 12:00 PM ET on Monday, November 2nd. The NWSL announced last week that the Orlando Pride would be joining the league as its tenth member club. Those players on the Sky Blue FC “protected” list are players who are not eligible to be drafted by Orlando in the Expansion Draft. All other players are considered “unprotected” and are eligible to be drafted by the Pride. Sky Blue FC was allowed to protect a maximum of 10 players, and Orlando can select up to two players from its unprotected list. Full procedures and details for the Expansion Draft were officially announced last week.
