WWE reveals an epic cast for Evolution announce team

History will be made when a (mostly) all female panel hosts Evolution

The theme of WWE’s Evolution PPV is celebrating women in the world, sports and beyond. Of course, the theme wouldn’t truly fit without including those in the company who work as hard as anyone.

WWE sent out a release regarding the announce team that will handle commentary duties for Evolution this Sunday, October 28. From the announce desk to backstage, here is who we can expect to be hearing from:

  • On ringside commentary will be Renee Young and Beth Phoenix. Both are currently calling this year’s Mae Young Classic tournament, and Renee is now a featured voice on Monday Night Raw.
  • Renee and Beth will be pulling double duty, as they will host an Evolution Kickoff show. Joining them will be SmackDown Live GM and former champion Paige.
  • In a red carpet event before and during the Kickoff show, WWE will use all of their female broadcasters. Joining Charly Caruso will be Kayla Braxton, Dasha Fuentes, Cathy Kelley and Sarah Schreiber.
  • JoJo will continue her ring announcing duties and will be joined by two others. Braxton will also be involved, as well as veteran Lilian Garcia.

Joining Renee and Beth will be Michael Cole, the only male presence on the show. As the “voice of WWE”, Cole has worked with both ladies on Raw and the Mae Young Classic. With year’s of experience, the lone male on the show was necessary for commentary purposes.

It is unknown whether Nikki Bella v. Ronda Rousey or Charlotte Flair v. Becky Lynch will main event the show. Regardless, everyone will look to bring their A-game into the biggest WWE PPV of the year.

Evolution takes place inside the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the Nassau Coliseum box office or at Ticketmaster.com.
