College Fairleigh Dickinson Women’s Golf Season Ends at NCAA Regionals by Lou Monaco May 9, 2016 (FDUKnights.com) Fairleigh Dickinson, the Northeast Conference champions and making its second straight NCAA Regional appearance, finished in 18th place at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional at Louisiana State’s University Club, carding a 956 (322-313-321) over three rounds. Florida and South Carolina shared top honors with an 857 each to advance to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon later this month. Washington, Duke, Oregon and Brigham Young also advanced. Sophomore Gabriela Santini finished in a tie for 75th place in individual scoring and was FDU’s top golfer as she posted a 235 (81-76-78). Freshman Anneke Strobach finished a stroke behind in team honors with a 236 (82-76-78). Junior Rebecca Wright finished at 238 (79-80-79), junior Ariadna Castro closed at 247 (80-81-86), and freshman Celeste McLean rounded out the squad with a 258 (82-86-90).
