Could we see USWNT Star Carli Lloyd Kick in NFL?

Philadelphia: We are less than 48 hours away from the US Women’s National Team playing their second World Cup Victory Tour game as they take on Portugal on Thursday night from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Over the last couple of days, there has been a lot of buzz about what USWNT star, Carli Lloyd, did during her visit to Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp on August 20 when she made a 55-yard field goal.

On Tuesday night, Lloyd threw out the first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies game and then was interviewed by NBC Sports Philadelphia Gregg Murphy and the question came up about could we see Carli Lloyd play in the NFL

On August 26, FOX Sports would release a report saying that a couple NFL teams have reached out to Lloyd about kicking for them in a preseason game.

Lloyd turned down the offer due to the timing as the NFL preseason ends on August 9, same day the USWNT play their Victory Tour game.

Lloyd said that she is excited to play in front of her family, friends and fans in Philadelphia and it’s a record-breaking crowd.

The Victory Tour game is at 7 PM on FS1 on Thursday, August 29.

The USWNT will hold a public practice at Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, August 28 from 5 PM to 6 PM

The World Cup Trophy will be on display for the game.
