College FDU-Florham’s Win Streak Snapped at Albright by Staff Post October 17, 2016 The FDU-Florham Devils had their two-game winning streak broken after a 59-7 loss at Albright College on Saturday. The Devils dropped to 2-4 overall (2-3 MAC), while the Lions of Albright won their fourth straight to improve to 4-2 (4-1 MAC). Albright piled up 459 yards of total offense, with junior QB Alec Vignola (11 for 17, 113 yards, 3 TDs), freshman RB Josh Davis (11 rushes, 69 yards, 1 TD) and junior WR Malik Jackson (5 receptions, 83 yards, 2 TDs) leading the way. The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead, extending that advantage to 35-0 at the half and 59-0 after three quarters. The Devils accounted for the lone fourth quarter score, when sophomore QB Joey McCain connected on his only pass of the afternoon, hitting sophomore WR Darnell Golson for a 17-yard score. Offensively, the Devils were led by sophomore QB Jagger Green (21 for 39, 159 yards) and the receiving trio of senior WR Esaun Mobley (4 catches, 43 yards), sophomore WR Mike Panzarino (6 catches, 33 yards), and freshman TE John Pellegrini (4 catches, 67 yards). On the ground, carries were distributed between freshman RB Steve Iannone (9 rushes, 32 yards) and sophomore RB Robert Young (5 carries, 24 yards). Freshman QB Robert Madison, who has been utilized in a change-of-pace role throughout the season, carried the ball 8 times for 50 yards. Defensively, sophomore LB Isaiah Turner accounted for 11 total tackles, including 1 ½ tackles-for-loss and 1 sack. The Devils look to return to their winning ways Saturday, October 22 when they host the King’s College Monarchs (3-3, 3-2 MAC). Kickoff for the FDU Homecoming contest is scheduled for 1 pm at Robert T. Shields Field.
