College Princeton Tigers fall in the battle of unbeatens at Yankee Stadium by Dushawn London November 10, 2019 The Princeton Tigers defense could not hold up as they let up 252 rushing yards to the Dartmouth Big Green in the battle of previously unbeatens at Yankee Stadium on Saturday. For the second year in a row, both Princeton and Dartmouth entered this game nationally ranked with records of 7-0. The Tigers looked to continue their reign over the Big Green as they defeated them in last years historic defensive battle (14-9), leading to a flawless 10-0 record and a conference title. Princeton (7-1, 4-1) no longer shares first place as they are now second in what seems to be a top heavy Ivy League. The Tigers came out of the gates sluggish as they let up 17 first half points. Defensive end Niko Lalos set the tone early, intercepting quarterback Kevin Davidson for a 22 yard interception returned for a touchdown. The Tigers also let up a 1-yard touchdown run to quarterback Jared Gerbino. The one bright spot for the Tigers was play from the 6’5 tight end Bobo Carson. Carson was able to open up the passing game by hauling in eight catches for 69 yards. The Tigers could not change their fortune in the second half as they were outscored 10-3. Davidson threw for 210 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Davidson’s passing attack was not enough, as the Tigers had a lackluster 36 yards on the ground.
