Junior linebacker Darin Hungerford, who has had a monster season thus far through four games, was named Defensive Player of the Week. The Dumfries, Virginia native led the Cougar defense on with 11 tackles, including three solos, to propel Kean to its third straight victory, a 24-13 road win at William Paterson. He also posted 3 ½ tackles for a loss, including 1 ½ sacks. His 3 ½ tackles for a loss mark the most by an NJAC player in a game this season. Hungerford currently leads the NJAC in total tackles for a loss at 9 1/2. Junior defensive back/kick and punt returner Vaughn Scott took home Special Teams Player of the Week honors as well.
