College After Two Straight Losses, Cornell A Welcome Sight For Princeton Tigers by Stephen Ur October 29, 2015 The Princeton Tigers will host the Cornell Big Red on Halloween. The kickoff for this game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. This is the first home game for the Tigers since they hosted Colgate University on Oct. 10. Princeton is coming off of a 42-7 loss to their Ivy League rival Harvard. Cornell is coming off yet another loss, this one to Brown University. Both schools are coming off losses in which they lost by a combined score of 86-27. Princeton lost 42-7 to Harvard, and Cornell lost 42-20 to Brown in a game in which they gave up four rushing touchdowns to junior tailback Johnny Pena. Despite the fact that both teams are coming off ugly losses, Cornell has been done nothing but lose all season, as they are currently winless at 0-6. Princeton now sits at a record of 4-2, with two consecutive losses after their 4-0 start. Princeton will look to bounce back from the two straight losses while Cornell will look to pull off the upset at Princeton Stadium and earn their first win of the season. In their meeting last season, Princeton beat Cornell by a score of 38-27. Receiver Connor Kelly caught 13 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the win. This was the first time that any Princeton football player caught 13+ passes in a single game since Nov. 15, 1983, when Derek Graham caught 15 passes in a game against Lafayette. The Tigers also recorded four sacks in the last meeting, one by four different players, as well as 10 tackles for loss. This season, Princeton’s four wins have come by an average margin of victory of 19 points per game. In their two losses, they’ve lost by an average of 21 points per game. In their six losses, Cornell has lost by an average of 16.8 points per game, including losses of 40-3, 31-6 and 44-20 in their last their three games. Prediction: Princeton win this game by three or four touchdowns.
