Geno Auriemma: Greatest Coach of All-Time

There is no doubt in my mind that UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma is the best coach to ever coach, in any sport, of any level in sports history.

Coach Auriemma has done so many things that have either only been accomplished once before or have never been and maybe never will be accomplished again. The only thing that Geno has done that another coach has done was win 10 titles, which only the great John Wooden has done.

There is something that Geno Auriemma has done that will probably never be done again, and that is win 90 games in a row, not just once, but twice. The Huskies have won 90 straight games twice since coach Geno has taken over. That is unheard of in any sport, when it comes to winning streaks.

Geno is a great coach. There’s no doubt about that.

Now imagine Geno coaching in the NBA. A lot would like to doubt that he would do the same thing in the NBA that he did with the UConn Huskies, but I’d beg to differ. Geno would do just as well in the NBA if he were offered a job. I don’t think he would even take it because he loves his Huskies so much, he wouldn’t want to leave his fans or his players.
