Lacrosse Lizards roll past Bayhawks for second straight win by Chris Passarelli July 22, 2019 It may not be considered a “winning streak” just yet but it’s safe to say that the Lizards are finally on the right track. On Saturday night, in front of a good crowd at Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD, the New York Lizards took out the Chesapeake Bayhawks 14-10 for their second straight win. It’s the first time the Lizards have won back-to-back games this season. They still have a lot of work to do after improving to 3-5 but they’re making progress. Rob Pannell, Ryan Walsh and Justin Reh had a hat trick each as the offense exploded and the defense stood tall. The Lizards nearly blew the game after being up 10-4 at halftime, but a steady diet of the three aforementioned and Nick Gallaso (two goals) was enough to keep the Bayhawks at bay. The defense allowed the fewest goals of the season so far and goaltender Austin Kaut made 13 saves in the winning effort. The Lizards are off next week as MLL All-Star activities will be taking place. The Lizards have six representatives in the All-Star Game; Rob Pannell, Dylan Molloy, Kevin Crowley, Jack Carrigan, Ben Randall, and Greg Puskuldjian. The game is Saturday July 27th in Annapolis.
