MMA NJ’s ‘Blonde Fighter’ Set to Make UFC Debut at UFC Fight Night 91 by Kristine Haugsjaa July 13, 2016 Katlyn Chookagian “The Blonde Fighter” (Photo via FighterPlus.com) New Jersey native Katlyn Chookagian, better known as ‘Blonde Fighter’, will step into the UFC octagon for the first time Wednesday night at UFC Fight Night 91 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The ‘Blonde Fighter’ (7-0) will face #13 ranked UFC bantamweight, and former Invicta FC champion, Lauren Murphy (9-2) in a three-round prelim bout. The 27-year old undefeated fighter recently became the first women’s title holder of both the flyweight and bantamweight’s division for local fight organization, Cage Fury Fighting Champions. Chookagian won the CFFC Women’s Flyweight championship back in January via unanimous decision and only two months later in March won the organizations Women’s Bantamweight champion with an impressive 45-second KO victory in the first round. She has three finishes in her seven fight professional career, following her perfect 7-0 amateur career. Chookagian is a member of the Renzo Gracie Academy in New Jersey. UFC Fight Night 91 kicks off on UFC Fight Pass at 6pm EST following by the prelims starting at 7pm EST and the main card at 9pm EST, both on Fox Sports 1.
