The Peacocks will either go against Maine, or South Alabama on Sunday in either the championship game at 8pm or consolation game at 12:30pm. Four Peacocks got into double-digit figures during the second campus round game against No. 19/20 Northwestern on Monday, Nov. 13. Guard Nick Griffin led the team with a high of 19 points. Forward Samuel Idowu and guard Cameron Jones recorded a pair of 14 points while guard Quinn Taylor put up another 10 points in the 75-66 loss. SPU are just 1-0 in their Springfield Bracket after meeting Maine back in 2001 at the Golden Panther Invitational in Miami, Florida. The team will be holding a 79-70 win over Maine as they meet Sacred Heart for the first time. Dating back to last season, the Peacocks had a 7-4 record (1-0 home, 4-4 away, 3-1 neutral) in tournament play. They went 2-1 at the Johnny Bach Classic, 1-1 in MAAC tournament and went undefeated in the CollegeInsider.com tournament with a 4-0 record. However, they’ve started off this Hall of Fame Tip-Off 0-2. After the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament wraps up, Saint Peter’s will have a week off for Thanksgiving break before stepping back onto the court on Sunday, Nov. 26 to tra vel to Lafayette at 2pm.
