College Penn Looks to Capture Ivy League Title, Host Cornell on Saturday by Stephen Ur November 20, 2015 The Penn Quakers will take on the Cornell Big Red in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET. The Quakers are coming off of an upset win over the then undefeated Harvard. Cornell is coming off of their first win of the season, a 3-0 triumph over Columbia. In their win, the Big Red were only able to put up 41 yards passing and 152 yards rushing. The Quakers put up 245 yards passing from quarterback Alec Torgersen. He was also responsible for four total touchdowns (two passing, two rushing). The defense was also strong in the win over Harvard. The Quakers defense forced three turnovers and five different players recorded a sack. There’s a big difference between Harvard and Cornell, too. If Penn can force three turnovers and record five sacks against an undefeated Harvard Crimson squad, just imagine what they can do to a Cornell team that won their first game by passing for only 41 yards and rushing for 152 yards. Penn will have a field day with Cornell. The defense is on tact to record double-digit sacks on Big Red quarterback Robert Somborn. The offense will put up big numbers, as wide receiver Justin Watson is first in the Ivy League, averaging 105.4 receiving yards per game. He also leads the Ivy League with seven touchdowns. With a win, the Quakers will be in the drivers’ seat to win the Ivy League, as they are now in a tie with Harvard, who they own the tiebreaker with. With a win and a Harvard loss, Penn will win the Ivy League outright.
