Boxing Brooklyn’s Adam Kownacki improves to 15-0 after TKO victory Saturday by Kristine Haugsjaa January 16, 2017 Photo Credit: RingPolska.Pl Brooklyn’s own Adam Kownacki added another knockout to his impressive professional boxing record after making quick work of North Carolina’s Joshua Tufte during the third bout of the undercard for Showtime Boxing’s James DeGale vs. Badou Jack at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday night. After Kownacki (15-0, 12 KOs) controlled the first round, including opening up a nasty gash over the left eye of Tufte (19-2, 10 KOs) requiring the ringside doctors examination, he continued the pace into the second frame where he finished Tufte with a series of punches in the corner causing the referee to call a stop to the fight at 2:40 into the second round. The impressive win earned the 27-year old heavyweight to continue his rise in the world and US rankings on Boxrec.com. Kownacki is now 27th in the world and 11th in the United States in the heavyweight division.
