The USWNT Victory Tour Hits Philadelphia

USA Soccer announced that that U.S. Women’s Soccer Team’s World Cup Victory Tour would be coming to Philadelphia.

Philadelphia: It has been 17 days since the US Women’s National Team won its 4th FIFA World Cup. The party now continues with a series of Victory tour games and one of those games will be in the City of Brotherly Love.

On Wednesday, USA Soccer announced two more stops on their World Cup Victory Tour and one of those stops will be in Philadelphia on August 29 at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles.

This game in Philadelphia will be special for two players in Carli Lloyd and Julie Ertz. Lloyd is from Delran, NJ while Ertz is the wife of Eagles TE Zach Ertz.

For those asking who will be playing in these games on the victory tour, US Soccer would say that it will feature all 23 of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 31 at 10:00 am EDT  through ussoccer.com.

This will be the USWNT 4th time playing at Lincoln Financial Field, here is how the USWNT has done in the previous three games at Lincoln Financial Field.

September 25, 2003: USWNT beat Nigeria in the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup in front of a crowd of 31,553
November 6, 2004: USWNT Lost to Denmark in front of 14,812
September 13, 2008: USWNT beat theRepublic of Ireland in front of 13,176

The USWNT will be playing their second game in Philadelphia this year. They played a 2-2 draw against Japan back in February at the home of the Philadelphia Union of MLS which is Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, PA.
