Maxime Chanot has signed a new multi-year contract with the blues. The defender, a leader in the locker room, spoke in this way about his new contract: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract with New York” -said Chanot on the official NYCFC web site. “Our focus is to continue to improve and remain one of the best teams in MLS. I want to thank God, the club and everyone involved at NYCFC, people who have helped me in my time here”. Not only the club but also the supporters are very important for Chanot: “Our supporters are fantastic. From my first day here they encourage me and they always showed me support.
